Edinburgh University vs Caledonian Braves

The Caley Braves ran out as deserved winners at East Peffermill, with a 1-3 victory over bottom placed Edinburgh University.

The opening goal came from Ross McNeil, who rifled in a great finish after taking in a Cammy Breadner cross.

Our hosts would strike back next, but the Braves retook their lead before the half time whistle, when Jack McDowall smashed home a header from a Matty Collins corner.

With the rain falling down in the second half, the Braves kept their focus and ultimately finished the game off with fifteen minutes to go. Matty Collins latched onto a clever Ross McNeil flick, to smash the ball home with a powerful left foot drive.

The result sees the Braves move up to 13th in the league!
