Caledonian Braves vs Celtic B

W 4 - 2

The Braves recorded a phenomenal victory at Alliance Park, to provide the ideal early Christmas present!

Our visitors who were keen to play out from the back were caught out after 20 minutes, when John Guthrie won back the ball, before finding Ross McNeil who smashed home with aplomb.

However, the lead wouldn't last for long after Lewis Dobbie levelled, after pouncing on a defensive mistake at the back, as the Braves failed to get a cross clear.

Both chances continued to have changes towards the end of the half, however soon after the break Thomas Hatton gave his side the lead by latching onto a cross with a well taken half volley.

Ten minutes later however, the Braves would level themselves when Kristian Gkegka picked up the ball deep before finding a pass to Aiden Clocherty in the box, who unleashed an unstoppable strike over the Hoops 'keeper and into the back of the net.

With a bumper half hour to go, the game entered an exciting period and both teams creaeted chances.

The 5th goal would come on the 83rd minute though, when Daniel Martins pealed off to the back post, to latch onto a Cammy Breadner free-kick and head home.

Dan's celebrations were immense but only got better two minutes later.

With 85 on the clock, Breadner delivered a low corner into the box and Daniel Martins once again got to it, this time with a left footed shot that clipped the post on it's way in.

The jubilant centre-back went off in celebration once again, as he cemented the Caley Braves first ever victory over Celtic B!

Merry Christmas Braves fans!
