Caledonian Braves vs Cumbernauld United

W 2 - 0

A comfortable result for the Braves, who ran out as 2-0 victors over Cumbernauld United at Alliance Park, in the South Challenge Cup.

Coming into the game, the gaffer made two charges to his starting line-up with Speirs and Collins entering an exciting attack force.

The Braves would quickly get to the better start, when Dan Martins rifled home a powerful first time shot, fallowing a 7th minute Breadner corner, for his first goal for the club.

In all fairness, our visitors competed well in the first half with their counter attacking play, however failed to test Bernie's goal.

The Braves, who dominated possession in the first half, came out with more tempo in the second half as they looked to put the tie to bed.

Respite trying a number of good chances, the 2nd goal wouldn't come until the 85th minute.

Kristian Gkegka picked up the ball at the edge of the box, before slipping in his midfield partner. John Guthrie who fired home with aplomb, for his first of the season.;

This proved be the final action on the day, as the lads bagged our spot in the 5th Round Draw!
