Caledonian Braves vs East Kilbride

L 0 - 2

The Braves finished their home games of 2019 with a disappointing defeat to local rivals East Kilbride.

Braves had the majority of the opening chances with Raffi Krissian and Ross McNeil both going close to opening the scoring.

East Kilbride then grew into the game and dominated the remainder of the first half.

The away side took the lead on the 24th minute as Anton Brady headed home a Sean Winter’s cross. Moments later EK had doubled their advantage. Again creeping in down the right hand side, this time the cross being deflected into his on net by Krissian.

The Braves changed their shape and took over in the second half. Chance after chance but the home side failed to pull one back.

Neil McLaughlin had an audacious effort from dugout which almost caught out Matt McGinley in the EK goal.

4 minutes before the end McNeil rounded the keeper only for his shot to be cleared off the line. This only found its way to Raffi Krissian who smashed the ball towards goal but could only hit the standing defender which truly summed up the day for the Home Side.

A 2-0 defeat but it’s a trip across the border as the Braves visit Shieffield Park as they take on Berwick Rangers, 28th December 2019, 3pm KO.
