Caledonian Braves vs Civil Service Strollers

The Caledonian Braves made it four undefeated, with a comprehensive win at Alliance Park. A 3-0 victory for Ricky Waddell's side, a Ross McNeil brace was sandwiched by a Zac Butterworth strike to help the Braves record all three points.

Coming into the game, Martin McArthur came in for his first start of the season in the place of the suspended Greig Stewart, whilst Lennon Walker, who picked-up a knock midweek, dropped out for Kian Speirs.

The hosts didn't take long at all to open the scoring, when Bernie White launched a pinpoint free-kick over the opposition defence. A ball that would've made Tom Brady proud, Ross McNeil made the run to bring the ball in with a tremendous touch to control and dink over the 'keeper. A one goal lead within 10 minutes for the Braves!

Our search for second would continue into the second half, but arrived at the end of a stunning move. Ross McNeil dinked a ball over to the ever-dangerous Zac Butterworth, who accurately finished into the bottom corner. Zac's first goal since returning to the club this summer.

A killer third goal would soon arive, when substitute Cammy Breadner latched in down the right-wing. Cammy cut the ball back to the onrushing Ross McNeil, who kept a cool head to smash in for his second goal.

This proved to be the final goal, as the Braves recorded an ultimately comfortable victory at Alliance Park, to put their tally to 10 points in 4 games.
