Berwick Rangers vs Caledonian Braves

L 1 - 0

The Braves fell to a defeat in their final match of 2019 away to Berwick Rangers at Sheifield.

Craig Quinn had the first effort on target as his long range strike was well gathered by Brennan in the Berwick goal.

Brennan again came to the rescue for the homeside. A David Sinclair corner was met by a volley from Raffi Krissian, the ball bobbled in front of the keeper as he managed to get a huge block and parry the ball away.

A slack pass in the Braves defence lead to an effort from the home side go just wide of target almost troubling Alex Marshall. Berwick came close again from a free-kick but Marsh was on hand this time making an important save.

The home side would open the scoring after Yaw Osei was sent through on goal, his effort was down the middle but Marshall could only parry it into the net.

Ben Daily went close with a great effort just flying past the post from the edge of the 18-yard box.
Berwick almost doubled their advantage thanks to a Ross McNeil clearance deflecing off a Gers player but quick reactions from Marsh kept the score a 1-0.

Again Daily came close to the Braves equaliser. A Neil McLaughlin cross was met by the on-rushing Daily, but a point blank save and help from the post kept Braves from scoring.

A second half came with little chances as the Braves miss out on a chance to pick up points away to Berwick.
