Caledonian Braves vs Gretna 2008

The Braves and Gretna battled out a goalless draw at Alliance Park, that saw the Braves retain their unefeated start to the season.

A well contested game, the two sides matched up well throughout the opening 75 minutes. However, the first major talking point would come at this point of the game.

Looking to inject some quality into the final third, Ricky Waddell introduced Lennon Walker - returning from injury. Our number 20 quickly found himself in behind the defence, where he was swept out by player manager Vinnie Parker in the Gretna goal, who recieved his marching orders.

Lenny would strike the post with the resulting free-kick, before John Guthrie was swept out when going for the rebound. 

Cammy Breadner had the chance to win it from the spot, but the trialist Gretna 'keeper made a massive impact by making a great save.

Reg McLaren went close with a header in teh dying embers, but ulitamtely it finished 0-0 at AP.
