Travancore Royals FC vote overwhelmingly passes

15th November 2021

As a club we believe that football should be shared by everyone, the beautiful game should have no barriers and at Caledonian Braves you, the fans, are at the heart of everything we do. Recently we laid out a very exciting opportunity to partner with Indian club Travancore Royals, to expand our global Braves family to new horizons and see what exciting adventures may wait. So, we put the decision to you via a vote on our app.

We are delighted to announce that the recent Travancore Royals partnership vote has passed by an overwhelming 90%! This means we will officially partner with Travancore and explore all opportunities that may arise from this partnership.

Jibu Gibson, Travancore club secretary had this to say: “It’s a matter of pride for us to have a partnership with Braves. This will strengthen our clubs philosophy and also our player development.”

Some of the opportunities that may arise are the potential for players to come from India to Scotland to live and play, exchange good business practise and try and expand our business footprint into an exciting and emerging market.

Founder, owner and director of Caledonian Braves, Chris Ewing said: “Travancore were very complimentary about what we are trying to do with our club, the app and fan engagement. They also complimented our vision in trying to grow a global community, similar to their own model in India. This as a great opportunity to collaborate and exchange best practise between the clubs. This is also a great opportunity for us to extend our global footprint to new territories and new countries. India is a very interesting and emerging market, one in which will provide exciting opportunities with a partnership like this.”

Thank you to everyone who voted on the app and gave us feedback surrounding the partnership. We will always keep you at the heart of everything we do and continue to try and provide relevant votes that will shape the future of our club.
