Bernie who was born in Liverpool, moved to the US at the age of seven but his love of football remained despite the many other sports on offer. He progressed through the US College system and has been brought in till the end of the season by manager Ricky Waddell as he looks to strengthen his goalkeeping options. The six foot six stopper is an imposing presence in the goal and will provide stiff competition to Chris Henry for the number one jersey.
