Behind the Boot - Robbie Stewart!

Robbie Stewart: a name we will definitely be hearing more often.
Stewart, 17 progressed through St Mirren’s youth system, after joining from Airdrie Boys Club aged 9.
An avid Ronaldo fan, Stewart recalls: “He's the main man and he motivates everyone with his physique, how he trains and how he prepares himself for a match.”
However, his first pair of football boots were actually ‘Messi x Adidas’, which he claims to now know better.
Stewart joined the Braves in February 2022 and shadowed Jamie Walker last season, who has since moved to Dundalk in the Irish Premier League.
Stewart swiftly established himself as first choice this season and his outstanding performances led to him winning the player of the month award in October 2023, showing his talent and commitment to the team.
He also represents Scotland Schoolboys at the international level, earning his call-up after his impressive performances for the Braves, deeming the occasion “the proudest moment of my life”.
Stewart’s love for football started when he was young as. He said: “I was about 3 or 4 when I started kicking a ball and then eventually got into a team and loved it ever since!"
It’s safe to assume we will be seeing the left-back more as he continues to progress with The Braves!
