CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT - COVID-19

16th March 2020

A Message to Braves Fans from Gaffer Ricky Waddell and Owner Chris Ewing Following the recent COVID-19 Outbreak.

"Following the leagues decision to suspend upcoming fixtures, we are obviously disappointed though fully support and respect the decision. The health and safety of everyone is paramount and it is important now that we all follow the protocol and guidelines given by the authorities.

Stay strong, avoid panic and be considerate of others and we ll be back to normal soon"

Chris Ewing
Owner

"The past couple of days have been a bit surreal to say the least as news started to filter in yesterday about the cancellation of games indefinitely. It has posed some serious thoughts about what we do and how we can make this situation into something productive.

It’s important the team stays fit and healthy with the threat of a total lockdown, similar to other countries. It’s a time to look after the things in life that matter. It’s maybe an opportunity to do things you don’t normally get the time to do. Spend more time with family, reflect and analyse how we can progress when things get back to normal, maybe simplify things a little.

We’re currently working on a plan to make sure the team’s fitness levels are kept high if we are told not to train for a prolonged period of time. This will be vital for when we get back to normal, we are ready for the remainder of the season.

The most important thing is that everyone stays in the best health possible and all at the Braves wish good health to the wider football community and beyond. We all hope to get back on the pitch and back normal soon."
