Departing Players Summer 2024

30th May 2024

As the season comes to an end, we can confirm that the following players will leave the club at the expiry of their contracts this summer:

Matthew Collins

An electric winger, Matty provided many memorable moments since joining in 2022. Capable of playing on either wing or as a number 10, Matty was second top scorer this season and bagged a superb goal in our recent cup final victory.

Louis Thompson

Another popular winger in the squad, Louis joined the club last summer and provided 7 assists in 29 games this season. Also capable of playing on both wings or through the middle, Louis provided many exciting moments in a Braves shirt this season.

Jacob Long

Since joining in 2022, Jacob impressed on many occasions in a Braves shirt. The winger/centre mid had a great spell at the turn of the year and was named as our Player of the Month for January.

Adam Brown

Our number two 'keeper this season, Adam made three appearances throughout the season and was our man of the match in his Lowland League debut against Albion. Another popular face at Alliance Park, we thank Adam and his family for all their help around the club on and off the park.

Connor Keaney

Another talented young 'keeper, Connor worked with Bernie White and Adam this season developing his game. He made over 30 appearances for our various youth teams, and was absolutely instrumental in our under 20's run to the SLDL Knockout Cup final.

Blair Hill

A hardworking midfielder, Blair joined the club last summer and made 13 appearances in the first half of the season. In search of more game time, Blair left the club on loan in January.

Jay Gibb

A strong full-back, Jay joined the Braves midway through the season and made his debut in a Southern Counties Cup tie. Naturally a right-back, Jay also impressed at centre-back for our under 20's side this season.

Andrew Gaffney

Another important member of our under 20's side this season, Andrew joined the club from St Mirren mid-season. Andy made his debut for the first team in our final league game of the season, impressing off the bench in a comeback victory against Cowdenbeath.

Sonny Aluko

Young winger Sonny also featured for our under 20's with distinction this season, starting in their recent Knockout Cup final.

We would like to thank all these players for their efforts in Braves shirts over the previous season and wish them all the very best of luck in their future endeavours.
