MARC KELLY RETURNS TO THE BRAVES

3rd July 2025

We’re delighted to confirm that Marc Kelly has returned to Caledonian Braves for the 2025/26 season.

Marc is no stranger to Alliance Park, having spent several seasons with the Braves earlier in his career. He was a consistent presence across multiple campaigns, but it was the 2022/23 season where he truly hit his stride — racking up 27 goals in all competitions and delivering some unforgettable moments, including a goal inside 15 seconds against Berwick and key performances in our South Challenge Cup run.

After spells with East Kilbride and Dumbarton, he now returns to a familiar environment — but one that’s continued to grow and evolve in his time away.

“It’s great to have Marc back,” said Ricky Waddell.

“He’s a player that’s well known to the Braves and the coaching staff. He progressed really well during his time here before moving on to East Kilbride. He’ll bring really good experience to the squad and he’s proven what he can do in the Lowland League, so we’re all excited to have him back.”

Marc added:

“I spent four or five seasons here and I’ve got a really good relationship with the gaffer and people at the club. I really enjoyed my time here and I’ve got some great memories.

You can see how the club’s progressed — you look at things like the Fenix Trophy and how that’s impacted everybody. It’s great to see. It’s a great group of boys — it always is here. The gaffer recruits good people and I’m looking forward to making more memories.”

It’s a new season and a fresh challenge — and we’re looking forward to seeing Marc back in Braves colours once again.

Welcome home Marc!
