March Player of the Month Vote!

30th March 2024

Ricky Waddell and Cole Starrs have provided us with four nominees for our penultimate Player of the Month vote this season!

You can chose your winner on the app now!

The month began with three games at home, starting with an 8-0 victory in the cup over Wigtown and Bladnoch, before we drew 0-0 with the University of Stirling and lost 0-1 to East Stirlingshire.

However, the month of March would conclude with a fantastic 0-2 win away to Berwick Rangers in the league. Read more about nominees below!

Greig Stewart

A dependable force throughout 2024, Greig topped off the month with a man of the match performance in the heart of defence against Berwick.

Naturally a midfielder Greig has played in a number of roles this season, impressing as a number 6,8 and 10 for the Braves. However, it's been in the centre of defence where Greig has recently played most often, not putting a foot wrong alongside Dan Martins.

Greig penned a new deal with the club in March, to top off a great season so far!

John Guthrie

Yet another POTM nomination for the skipper, John has been Mr Consistent in our midfield this season.

John started in all three of our league games this month, continuing his run as an ever present in our starting XI in the league this season.

The combative midfielder also signed a new deal alongside Greig, to continue his spell as the club's longest serving player!

Aiden Clocherty

19-year-old Aiden has battled back from an injury over the last couple of months, to re-implement himself as a key starter for the Braves.

Aiden deputised in defence for the Braves at right-back in the absence of Jack Brown on two occasions in March, his natural position throughout his career.

However, Aiden has continually impressed in more advanced areas this season, and returned to the right-wing against Berwick, causing issues for the opposition defence alongside Cammy Breadner, who played on the left.

Bernie White

And last but certainly not least is our number one, Bernie White.

The American shot-stopper has been an ever dependable force in the Braves goal this season, making a number of logic defying saves!

Bernie started all three of our league games this month, making big contributions with saves late against Stirling Uni and early against Berwick, to keep two clean sheets.

Bernie also penned a new deal with the Braves last month!
