Braves owner, Chris Ewing is also delighted to welcome Rose to the club. He said: "For me, Rose epitomizes the spirit of the Braves.

"Her story is incredible. The courage she has shown to pursue her passion at a time when everything was against her is remarkable. To go on to live abroad as such a young age an win a a World Cup is inspiring.

"When I met Rose for the first time a few weeks ago we just clicked. Unassuming, determined and passionate, we are very proud to welcome her to the Braves as an ambassador."
